CORE VALUES
The following is a list of things we in the IAM hold as core values to our fellowship. They are not listed in any order of priority.
-
Relationship: it is our desire to facilitate true relationship in ministry, not just to be a religious hierarchy, or merely a credentialing agency.
-
Prophetic, biblical preaching and teaching: we consider preaching and teaching that is both biblically grounded, and anointed of the Holy Spirit to be key to the furtherance of the kingdom of God.
-
The present ministry of the Holy Spirit: we greatly value the expression of all the gifts of the Holy Spirit for today. We also treasure the current moves of the Holy Spirit as the church is being brought into a fuller expression of Jesus Christ in these last days.
-
Ministry to the nations of the earth: ministry and missions to all nations is part of the heart and DNA of this fellowship.
-
Servant leadership: the IAM desires to provide and develop leadership that seeks to serve the good of those they minister to, rather than to “Lord it over” the people of God.
-
Fivefold apostolic ministry: Apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, provide the foundational leadership for the church today.
-
Personal integrity of character: we consider personal moral integrity (honesty, uprightness¸purity, godliness) to be a prerequisite for all valid ministry.
-
Worship in the Holy Spirit: the IAM values true spiritual worship which enters into the presence of the Holy Spirit and releases kingdom realities.
What We Believe
We believe …..
-
That God is one God who has created all things and eternally exists in the three persons of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit
-
That the Bible is inspired of God in its totality, and thus infallible and the final authority of what is true.
-
That spiritual rebirth (regeneration) which comes through repentance and personal faith in Christ is necessary to obtain eternal life and to avoid eternal punishment.
-
That Jesus of Nazareth was born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as an atoning sacrifice for the sins of the world, rose physically from the dead on the third day, that He ascended into heaven where He continually makes intercession for us, and that He will visibly return to the earth one day to judge the living and the dead, and to reign upon the earth.
-
That the baptism of the Holy Spirit according to Acts 1:4-8 and 2:4 is poured out on believers that they might have power to live victoriously, to manifest the very works of Jesus, and carry the gospel to every creature.
-
That water baptism by immersion is for all believers as a means of being united with Christ in his death and resurrection.
-
That the Lord’s supper (communion) was given to the church by Jesus as part of the new covenant and as a remembrance of His death.
